ok everyone...i am new.. i don't know what to say....just hello.. i am a disfellowshipped jehovah's witness...which maybe one day i will get in detail about....but right now it's still too painful.. besides if i talk about it i feel like i am talking bad about people or hindering jehovah's spirit with others.
i realy try to shy away from speaking badly of people...even if they hurt me.. what i believe in my heart is no one can truely hurt you if your standing with the creator is good in his eyes.they in reality hurt only themselves, because they hinder thier relationship with our maker.. i do not like to talk bad about any religious group realy because, i think what if jehovah some how aproved of them and then i am introuble!.
i can't remember where the scripture is but it is about the apostles and the advice was to let them go....and if they were from god then you know....but if they weren't then it would end...thier preaching and basically god would take care of them.. i feel jesus could say the things he did of religious leaders because,well.....he is th son of god and these people claimed to represent his dad.
Welcome and enjoy your stay on JWD!
I myself have never been disfellowshipped. It must be hard for you. The companionship that you will find on this board will help wonders. Since you mentioned that you were browsing thru before you posted is an indication of how candid and sincere we all really are.
Continue to post and let us know what develops.

my surgery is over and i am home.
the doctor said that she has never seen anybody recover as quickly as i am.
i am sure that all your prayers and well wishes are the reason why i am doing so well.
Welcome Back!
Certainly we missed you and your posts. All the best for a speedy recovery!
ok have taken advice and started own thread - actually feel a wee bit nervous about this - but what the heck!
you only live once right **grin**.. i am from sydney australia - was brought up as a jw and have been disfellowshipped once...when i was 21 yo currently 29. i only came back in because i am terrified of armageddon.....living in fear is not good for the mind!!.
does anyone else understand this fear???
Welcome NEW GUY! Certainly your thoughts and expressions are always desired.
That is exactly what happened to me. I was raised a JW but drifted away during my teen years. Then, when I was 20 years old (1988), I was told to get baptized. These are the exact words : "You'd better get baptized in order to receive the 'mark' so you won't die at Armageddon". Yes, it was the fear-factor. Armageddon always left an inprint in my mind since I was a child. Then I started to hear from my JW family members and friends about current world events making such drastic changes that the "END" was obviously very near. So, basically, my service and dedication to Jehovah was out of morbid fear instead of love. [As detailed within my personal profile].
This site along with others has helped me take positive steps in my life. Now I'm doing the "submerge" from the WT Society because I need to find my own identity in order to serve God entirely (Mark 12:30).
Looking forward to your future posts!

im a big cowboy fan, and i love to watch them play on thanksgiving.
but if i was not a cowboy fan, i must admit i would rather watch a more completive game, a game that would have play off implications.. how do you feel about it?
stay with tradition or a better game.
I just saw the game myself. Watched it on AFN (American Forces Network). The only English speaking channel in Japan. Good selection of American TV programs, though.
It's kinda weird watching Thankgiving football when it's not Thanksgiving here in Japan. What I mean is that it's Friday morning (Nov 29th) here while it's Thursday afternoon (Nov 28th) in the USA. And besides, the Japanese don't celebrate Thanksgiving.
My first year living abroad! However I'm keeping up with my favorite football team (Pittsburg Steelers).

why did you choose the nickname you did for this forum??
also who do you think has the coolest/funniest/weirdest name on the board?
i choose kelpie because that is my partner's nickname for me as my initials are klp.
(1) What comes to mind when you think of "alligator"?
(2) What do you think of when you hear "wisdom"?
Put those two together and I believe that expression represents me. I've always carried that "nickname" with me since I was a child and had used it at varies times and places during my life. You may run across it again somewhere, sometime..........because I'm out there somewhere .
Coincidentally, it just so happens that a poster on this board (Tatiana) mentioned that she saw a movie on HBO recently called "The Wisdom of the Alligator". Now I'm curious as to what nature's definition is regarding the wisdom of an alligator. It was also brought to my attention when I was living in the USA that there is an oceanliner/ship named "Alligator Wisdom". But hey, I got dibbs! I was first!

i guess i should introduce myself for i am a new poster-boy :-) my name is jason howard and i currently reside in santa cruz, california.
i spent the first 24 years of my life as a jw, starting in danbury, ct, then to fayetteville & charlotte, nc, and finally brooklyn, bethel, where finally all of my negative inner thoughts and feelings were confirmed.
(from the ages of 14-24 i always felt something just didn't add up with the organization, but i could never quite put a finger on it) i spent my career at bethel in the brooklyn warehouse/purchasing departments and worked with some really great individuals.
back2dafront & fulano,
I know of a "Makoto Yabu" who is currently at Bethel and staying at the Bossart. He was accepted in late 1997. Working in the laudry department. Attending the Japanese congregation in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey. Originally from Los Angeles, California
Also I know of a "Eddie Lee" who was at Bethel from 1992 thru 2001. He worked in the bindry for the last tenure of his term there in Brooklyn. Attended the Chinese congregation in Manhattan, NY. Originally from Los Angeles, California. Moved back to L.A. after marrying a Japanese sister.
You may know of them.
